HARTING releases new Han®4B series connectors

HARTING Technology Group officially launched the Han® 4B series of industrial connectors. The HARTING Han size 4 series now includes three products: Han® 4B, Han® HPR 4, and Han-Eco® Modular 4. This series precisely fills the size gap between the existing Han® 3A and Han-Eco® 6B, providing engineers in industries such as mechanical manufacturing, robotics, energy, and rail transportation with a new option that balances compact size with high current carrying capacity.

Solving a Long-Standing Industry Selection Dilemma

The launch of the Han® 4B series directly addresses this industry pain point. While retaining the same two-module capacity as the 6B, this series reduces the panel opening size by 20% (Han® HPR 4 can be reduced by 40%), while achieving a target price lower than the 6B, providing engineers with an ideal solution of 'smaller size, lower cost, and no performance reduction'.

Compact Design, Freeing Up Panel Space

The Han® 4B panel opening is reduced by 20%, and the Han® HPR 4 achieves an even greater reduction of 40%, allowing for more flexible enclosure design and enabling more interfaces to be placed on the same panel.

Bridging the Gap Between Two Standards: The existing larger Han-Eco® 6B cannot meet the needs of all energy applications, while the smaller Han® 3A cannot handle the required 70A current.

Innovative Snap-on Frame Concept

The Han® HPR 4 shares a unified frame with the Han® 4B, featuring push-in wiring technology (PE grounding supports a maximum wire diameter of 6mm²), significantly improving field installation efficiency. Integrated coding effectively prevents mis-insertion and ensures system safety.
